Family Photos

On Saturday the family went and had pictures done. Ryan did really well. He was nervous in the beginning, bit by the time we finished he was hamming it up for the camera. Below is a bit of picture overload, but they did take 161 pictures.

This Belongs On the Floor...And This Too

video

Ryan thought his stuff was better on the floor than where it belonged. Please let me point out in the beginning of the video when he says hi and waves to his diapers.

Flashback Photo of the Week

This week is a bonus double Flashback Photo. Here is Ryan playing peekaboo from under the covers. He hadn't gotten mobile yet, but he is trying to peek out from under the blanket.

Box Surfing

Woodbridge - When it is hot an stormy outside, there is nothing better than a little box surfing with Daddy. Mommy will only push you around, but Daddy will slide you across the floor at a high rate of speed. The face speaks for itself.

Flashback Photo of the Week

Here is Ryan one year ago enjoying some Bumbo time with Bob (his favorite rattle). He is definately giving the "Why are you sticking that camera in my face" look.

Stop or I Will Shoot...Bubbles

Woodbridge - This weekend Mommy bought Ryan a fun bubble gun. He really liked them blowing around him. He can't quite shoot the gun, but he likes to chase the bubbles around.

Wiseguy

A couple weeks ago a photographer visited Ryan's school and took old timey pictures of all the kids there. Of course Mommy and Daddy could not resist how cute Ryan is in his pictures and had to get a few. There were several poses, but we had to narrow it down to just three to take home. The pictures finally came in this week. He has to be the cutest wiseguy that ever existed.

Haircut #2

Woodbridge - Ryan was getting really shaggy and even growing a rattail in the back...it was time for a second haircut. Mommy and Daddy took him Wednesday night and he did excellent. He sat in the chair and watched cartoons while the lady buzzed his hair. It looks SO much better.

Here is Ryan enjoying his post haircut McDonald's and dipping his french fries again.

Vacation Day 6 - Last Day :(

Scarborough/Boothbay Harbor, ME - On the last day of vacation we took a long car trip out to Boothbay Harbor.

The day started with Ryan figuring out how he could go in the closet and hide in the hotel room. This entertained him for a few minutes while Mommy and Daddy finished getting ready.

We arrived in Boothbay Harbor around 10:30. Mommy, Daddy and Ryan explored the area for quite a bit of time. There were beautiful boats everywhere. The nice thing was that it felt like it was 20 degrees cooler on the water than every other place we have been. It is abnormally hot here (up in the 90s) with high humidity. Mommy and Daddy and Grammy are used to the humidity, but were hoping for a little relief on vacation. At least we aren't back home with the 100+ temperatures.

Ryan even strolled down on one of the docks to take a closer look at things.

We stopped for lunch where Ryan had a hot dog and french fries. On a couple occasions, Mommy has offered Ryan some ketchup to put on his fries, but he usually refuses and wants nothing to do with it. Today he requested the ketchup and began dipping like a pro. He would dip the fry and suck the ketchup off and then dip again. Obviously we need to teach him about double dipping.

We headed back to Scarborough for our last evening. This was a common site all week...Daddy programming the GPS.

We had dinner at Chicago Dogs. It was a nice quick meal on such a hot day.

After dinner, Ryan found a fun pole to play around.

We went back to Aunt Mickey's and Flip's house for one last quick evening. We tried to do a group picture, but this is the best you get with an active toddler.

Ryan gave a round of hugs to everyone before leaving.

We also got a nice shot of Flip, Mickey and Grammy.

It was a nice trip, but we are headed home tomorrow. We are looking forward to sleeping in our own beds and showering in our own bathroom. The hotel has been wonderful, but there is no place like home. Too bad it is going to take around 12 hours to get there.

Vacation - Day 5

York/Scarborough, ME - Day 5 was just Mommy, Daddy and Ryan. We started our day early and headed south to see Cape Neddick lighthouse (aka The Nubble). It was a beautiful ride through the cute town of York, past beaches (and ocean of course) and the cutest large and small cottages.

We arrived to the lighthouse which had a beautiful view. It was super hot today, which was felt so early in the morning.

The seagull stopped near us for a visit.

We tried to let Ryan walk around with his pap pap on, but he wanted to run down on the rocks with Daddy. It wasn't a great place to let Ryan explore a little on his feet.

We headed back into town and stopped at some outlets and the Kittery Trading Post. After all of that, we stopped at BK for lunch. Ryan enjoyed his bach bach (chicken nuggets) and french fries.

We came back to the hotel for a little rest and then we were headed out to dinner with
Grammy, Aunt Mickey and Aunt Flip. While we were out Ryan got a new pair of shoes. My Adidas.

We had dinner at the Dunstan School Restaurant. Mommy has been saying all week that it is spelled wrong. She angled for a discount on sharing a name with the restaurant, but no go. They can't have that many Dunstons dine there very often (even if it is spelled correctly, because they are wrong).

Ryan enjoyed fish, clam strips, green beans, taco meat, mac and cheese, stuffing, tomatoes, chips, turkey and cookies. Nothing like a buffet to sample a lot of stuff.

Another exhausting day and the little guy passed out with his Mickey Mouse and Seahorse.

Tomorrow is the last day in town. We are probably headed out to Boothbay Harbor.
