Mommy...Take a Picture

Woodbridge - Maybe we have stuck the camera in his face for so long that Ryan thinks we always need to take a picture. On Saturday, Ryan insisted that Mommy take pictures of certain things. Here is how it turned out.

First it was take a picture of his blocks.

Then take a picture of Daddy.

Take a picture of Mommy.

Take a picture of Ryan in glasses.

Finally, take a picture of Ryan in the tent.

Ryan's Take on the Airline Industry

Woodbridge (and all the place Ryan Airlines flies to) - Ryan really likes airplanes now. The lesson at school this month is all about the sky, so they have been talking about airplanes too. When you ask Ryan where he is going to fly to on an airplane he either says Mickey's House or Grammy's House.
Ryan got a really cool airplane for his birthday. He likes to push it around the house and take the passengers on trips. Today the airplane was overbooked, so only one piece of carry-on luggage was allowed by all passengers. It is unclear at this time if there was a fee for carry-ons or a fuel surcharge. It was a pretty long flight (around the living room and landing in the kitchen). Hopefully a meal was served. Obviously it was a rough landing, because all the passengers and the pilot were thrown from the plane. I may not recommend Ryan Airlines as a safe alternative for your next trip.

Pants On

Woodbridge - We had a slight problem with Ryan wanting to take his pants off on Sunday.  The good news is that he has gotten better at pulling them back up, but not completely on.  Here is Ryan trying to put his pants on by himself, then deciding it would be best to go see Daddy for help.

Surgery

Fairfax - On Friday Ryan had surgery to have his bump removed.  The medicine finally worked enough that we could get rid of the rest that was still there.  We reported to the surgical center bright and early for his 8:30 procedure.  He got checked in, put in a gown (which he did not like and kept trying to take off) and then went to a playroom to wait his turn.  Finally it was his turn and Mommy went with him to the operating room and stayed until he went to sleep (that only took about a minute).  After a little more than an hour, the doctor came out to tell us that everything went well and all the bump was gone (YAY!).

We went back to recovery and Mommy held Ryan as he woke up.  He struggled with waking up and really wasn't sure what was going on.  He coughed, he cried, he coughed and cried again.  He didn't even want the grape popsicle that was offered to him.  Finally he came around and it was time to go home.  After we got home, he was his normal self and ready to take on lunch and his towys.

Before surgery (trying to remove his gown)

After surgery, struggling to wake up

Once we got home he collapsed in the floor (briefly)

Getting Ready for Mickey

Woodbridge - In less than 6 months, we are heading to Orlando to meet Mickey Mouse.  In preparation, Mommy bought Ryan his very own suitcase with his name on it.  Ryan thinks it is the greatest thing in the world and drives it around the house.  At least we will be able to find it on the luggage belt at the airport.

An Afternoon Stroll

Woodbridge - Now that the weather is cooperating, we can finaly takes strolls around the neighborhood on Ryan's bike.  He loves to go outside.  Sometimes it is hard to get him inside.  On Sunday we took advantage of a bright sunny shiny day and took the bike out for a spin.

Our Own Jersey Shore

Our own Ryan B has taken lessons from the Jersey Shore and learned to fist pump.  Before we know it he will be out at the club with all the guidos and guidettes doing milk shots and fist pumping the night away.

Chores

Woodbridge - Ryan may be only 2, but he has already taken on a chore...taking out the trash.  He likes to grab the bags that are his size and throw them out on trash morning.  He does need to do something to earn the money Mommy and Daddy put in his savings account every other week.
