Woodbridge - Ryan is now a whole month old. Mommy can't believe how quickly time is flying by. He is growing so big, so quickly. Here is a look back over the past four weeks.
Woodbridge-On Thursday, after a long day at the office, Daddy, Mommy, and Ryan went out to eat at Smokey Bones. This was Ryan's first trip out to eat and did very well. Ryan could not decide what to eat and eventually fell asleep. Daddy and Mommy can't wait to take him back!
Woodbridge - Tummy time is one of Ryan's favorite things to do. It also gives him a lot of frustration. He is always trying to move and roll over. So far he can scoot himself a few inches. One achievment is that Ryan has mastered lifting his head. Those neck muscles are getting stronger and stronger. It won't be long before Ryan is amazing his parents even more.
Gloucester - On Ryan's travels this weekend, in addition to meeting his great-grandparents, Ryan met his only cousin and aunt. Aunt Nita and Belle were very excited to meet him and spend time with him. Belle was very good about holding Ryan, feeding him and playing with him. She is looking forward to when he gets older so they can play with toys. Belle already says she misses Ryan and wants to visit.
Gloucester/Mathews - On Saturday Mommy and Ryan made the adventure of a road trip to meet Ryan's great-grandparents and other family. He did really well on the 2 hour road trip and did not give Mommy too much trouble.
First he met Grandma Ruby. Mommy and her sister are the only grandchildren of hers and Ryan is her second great-grandchild. Ryan is the first boy born into the Dunston family since Mommy's father.
Next, Ryan went to meet Pop and Meemaw. There are also very few boys on that side of the family as well. Of the 9 grandchildren, there are only 2 boys. Now there are 8 great-granchildren, where Ryan is the third boy.
Also Ryan went to visit Auntie. Auntie is Ryan's great-great Aunt. She came to see him in the hospital after he was born.
Woodbridge - Ryan has many traits like his Daddy and looks a lot like him. One way Ryan is just like Daddy is that he loves to watch TV. Ryan will turn his head to watch the action on TV if he is not directly facing it. Daddy is always putting soccer, hockey or car racing on to try to get Ryan interested. Just wait until football season when the 49ers are playing.
Woodbridge - On Monday, Mommy and Daddy gave Ryan his very first tub bath. Ryan was very unsure about it. He would cry than he would think it wasn't so bad. Hopefully he will get used to it and learn to enjoy the warm water and soap. Daddy told Ryan he wished somone would give him a sponge bath everyday.
Fairfax - On Saturday Ryan, Mommy and Daddy went to the Fisher's to meet Jimmy. Ryan is a day older than Jimmy. They had a great time getting to know each other. Ryan is looking forward to play dates as they get older.
Alexandria - On Friday Ryan made his first visit to Mommy's work. He really enjoyed meeting all the people he has been hearing over the last few months while inside Mommy.
