Down With the Street

Woodbridge - While Mommy and Daddy were trying to get ready to go to Wegman's on Saturday, they decided to put on Sesame Street for Ryan. When Elmo's World came on, Ryan became very interested and watched the many ways to play with a ball. This is probably the beginning of a long love with Sesame Street.

First Day of Daycare

Alexandria - Monday was Ryan's first day at daycare. According to the teachers, he did really well and only cried when he was hungry. It put Mommy and Daddy's mind at ease to know he did so well. Hopefully things will continue to go as smoothly. It helped Mommy that he was so close that she could go visit him at lunch.

Easter Bunny

Woodbridge - On Saturday afternoon, Grammy, Mommy and Daddy took Ryan and his cousin Belle to see the Easter Bunny. Ryan wasn't too sure what to ask for in his Easter basket, but his cousin Belle asked for a new DVD.

Happy Birthday Daddy!

Woodbridge - Today was Daddy's birthday and Ryan helped him celebrate. He helped him blow out the candles and open his presents. Mommy and Daddy even let Ryan try a little of the frosting. Of course he thought it was yummy. Ryan gave Daddy "Mallrats" on DVD, but Daddy says he can't watch it until he gets much older.

Woodbridge-As many of you know, Daddy is at home this week with Ryan. And today was a very special day for the two of them. The two of them went to Daddy's favorite store:

Ryan also couldn't believed how many video games there are!

After about 30 minutes the two of them bought three things, XBox Live points, Lamb of God's New American Gospel, and Strapping Yound Lad's 1994-2006 Chaos Years.

All in all the two of them had a great time and Ryan can't wait to go back!!

He's Home

Woodbridge - On Thursday morning Ryan was released from the hospital and sent home. He was absolutely exstatic (as were Mommy and Daddy). He had a nice bath, put on some monkey pjs and sat back to watch some TV.

Upgrade

Fairfax - On Tuesday Ryan was upgraded from the PICU to Intermediate Care and began drinking from the bottle. On Wednesday the feeding tube was removed and he was weaned off oxygen. If he maintains good respitory numbers for 24 hours without oxygen then he can go home. He receives respitory treatment every 4 hours. He is feeling much better and starting to act more like himself.

In the Hospital

Fairfax - For Ryan's first time being sick, he had to go all out. On Sunday he was admitted to the hospital with RSV that has turned into a mild case of pneumonia. So far he is responding very well to treatment and will hopfully be coming home by Thursday. Today Mommy and Daddy bought him two new friends to keep him company.

Baby in the Box

Woodbridge - Ryan received a really cool package from Grammy in the mail, but more exciting was the box. Ryan had a good time laying and playing in the box. Thanks Grammy!

Mommy and Daddy Got a New Camera

Woodbridge - Mommy and Daddy got a new camera, so ryan had to be the guinea pig for all the new pictures. Ryan will either be blind by the time he is one, a total ham or he will hate to have his picture taken.
